Of course since it's so cold outside here, this is the perfect time to sew, bead, curl up with a good book, cook up a batch of soup, feed the birds and watch the red cardinals flock around their feeders and the snowy ground. Been making curtains for our son and daughter-in-law's new apartment, and doing some fun reading of winter-themed stories, good mysteries and cookbooks.
Book Pages: Titles you might want to try on a snowy day--
"Christmas with Paula Dean"--her stories and recipes are terrific winter warm-ups;
"Knit fast, die young: a knitting mystery" by Mary Kruger;
"Where angels go" by Debbie Macomber; and
"Visions of sugarplums" by Janet Evanovich--I could read the chapter about the elves hijacking Stephanie Plum's car a million times, and I STILL would laugh until it hurts.
